Il Programma LIFE+
Il programma europeo per il sostegno finanziario di prodotti e tecnologie volti alla tutela ambientale Life+ è stato istituito dal Regolamento (CE) n. 614/2007 del Parlamento Europeo e del Consiglio del 23/05/2007.
Obiettivo di LIFE+ è contribuire allo sviluppo, all’attuazione e all’aggiornamento della politica e della legislazione comunitarie nel settore dell’ambiente.
LIFE+ cofinanzia azioni, aventi valore aggiunto europeo, a favore dell’ambiente nell’Unione Europea e in taluni paesi terzi.
I progetti finanziati possono essere proposti da operatori, organismi o istituti pubblici e privati.
LIFE+ consta di tre componenti tematiche:
• Natura e Biodiversità. I progetti Natura contribuiscono all’attuazione e allo sviluppo delle direttive “Uccelli”, “Habitat” e della rete Natura 2000.
I progetti Biodiversità si concentrano su pratiche innovative tese ad arrestare la perdita di biodiversità in Europa.
• Politica e governance ambientali. Sostiene progetti innovativi o dimostrativi che presentano soluzioni innovative relative a tematiche ambientali rilevanti.
• Informazione e comunicazione. Sostiene progetti finalizzati ad azioni di comunicazione e campagne di sensibilizzazione in materia ambientale, nonché iniziative di formazione e campagne per la prevenzione degli incendi boschivi.
The LIFE+ program
The European Programme for financial support of products and technologies aimed at protecting the environment LIFE+ was established by Regulation (EC) no. 614/2007 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23/05/2007.
The objective of LIFE + is to contribute to the development, implementation and updating of policy and legislation in the field of the environment.
LIFE + co-finances actions, with European added value, to the environment in the European Union and in third countries. Funded projects may be proposed by operators, bodies or public and private institutions. LIFE + shall consist of three thematic components:
• LIFE+ Nature & Biodiversity. The Nature projects contributing to the implementation and development of the “Birds”, “Habitat” and the Natura 2000 network. The Biodiversity projects focus on innovative practices aimed at halting the loss of biodiversity in Europe.
• LIFE+ Environment Policy & Governance. It supports innovative or demonstration projects which present innovative solutions related to relevant environmental issues.
• LIFE+ Information & Communication. It supports projects aimed at communication and awareness-raising campaigns on environmental matters, as well as training initiatives and campaigns for the prevention of forest fires.
